NSW: Steven Spaliviero to face drug trial in March

SYDNEY, Aug 7 AAP - Sydney man Steven Spaliviero, the ex-boyfriend of Swedish waitress
Charlotte Lindstrom, is to stand trial on a drug charge next year.

Last month, the 44-year-old and two Melbourne men were acquitted of conspiring to murder
two crown witnesses and Spaliviero also was found not guilty of soliciting someone to
murder them.

In the NSW Supreme Court on Friday, Craig Everson, for the crown, said the drug charge
indictment was to be discontinued in that jurisdiction, but will later be presented in
the NSW District Court.

Spaliviero is accused of being knowingly concerned in the manufacture of a prohibited
drug in not less than commercial quantities.

The trial has been set for March 1 next year.

Lindstrom, 24, who gave evidence against him at the conspiracy trial, is serving a
minimum three-year jail term.

She pleaded guilty to soliciting an undercover policeman to be a hitman to kill the
crown witnesses.
